Okay, so we just finished Game of Thrones and our lives have forever changed. We finally understand all the hype. The only regret we have is that we didn't watch it sooner (WELL that and Ygritte's death and the lack of closure!!) Oops spoiler alert.... BUT if you haven't watched it yet and need one(or two) more recommendations here it is. Now stop reading and GO START it!! JK read this then go crust on the couch until our next post, of course :)
Where to visit: Dubrovnik, Croatia
We traveled to Dubrovinik- best known as King's Landing in 2016 and fell in love. Many people assumed we were there because we were GOT fans- literally all tourists were there for the GOT tours and were not gonna lie, we are a little(finger) jealous now that we didn't go on one. BUT we can say that GOT fan or no fan, you can still go to Dubrovnik and be absolutely BLOWN away (no pun intended). Old Town Dubrovnik is stunning. You can walk along the city walls that surround the Old City and over see the city of copper roofs and an outstanding view of the Dalmatian Coast. Luckily for you, we captured this beauty on a good ole iPhone 5- but we recommend going to see it for yourself because you will not be disappointed!
Where to stay: Zaton Mali, Croatia
We stayed outside the city walls because we found the cutest B & B on a bay and we couldn't pass it up. Zaton Mali is a little town surrounding the Zaton bay- one of Croatia's gems, only 4 miles to the Old City and walking distance to multiple beaches of the Adriatic Sea. With swimming in your backyard, row boats, tanning and the best little Cafe- Dandy, this stay was beyond amazing.

What to do: Drink and Eat, Always
Two things you must try on your pizza when in Croatia, an egg and sweet corn. Both weird, but both egg-cellent. Wine and Radler is a must all through Europe, so no excuse to stop when in Croatia, but we do recommend grabbing a Karlovako Beer at Buza Bar, the hidden bar in the walls of the Old City. We also suggest drinking beers the size of your head as you're cheering on Croatia with the locals during the EuroCup. Cliff jumping and exploring caves on the Kayak tour makes for a fun time on the sea plus a great workout. AND now we know you should probably join one of the million Game of Thrones tours going on.
